Mike Youe is a critically acclaimed songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Bristol, UK.

Mike, an accomplished guitarist, bassist, and singer, has also written and co-written music that has garnered 5-star reviews in the national and foreign press. 

Mike has written, recorded, and toured throughout the UK and worldwide for the past two decades. He currently plays for The Blue Aeroplanes and has played with other artists including Bristol punk legend Rita Lynch, John MOuse, Laura Kidd/She Makes War (now Penfriend) and Gerard Starkie (Witness). Also, in a return to performing as a solo artist for the first time in over ten years, his second solo album is due out later this year.

Mike is also an experienced educator, and higher education professional, who has previously taught, designed, and managed undergraduate degrees in music and songwriting. Also, Mike has managed student support teams working with young adults, mature learners and students with disabilities. He is currently a Senior Lecturer on the (MA) in Popular Music Practice and BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance at BIMM University, and works at the University of Bristol. ​​
